I rarely make larger purchases for my makeup collection. Sure, I replenish when needed and grab fun new things to try, but not usually anything that will be too expensive. Recently armed with Sephora gift cards from my birthday, however, the story changed. I went into Sephora thinking: I need new eyeshadow palettes. Originally planning to purchase the Lorac Unzipped Palette, a collection of rose golds and neutrals, I went to Sephora to spend some gift card ca$$h! Um, they don't sell Lorac. Ok... So then what. I had recently picked up Urban Decay's Vice 3 palette - so I wanted to stick away from that brand and switch it up. Plus, I've found the Urban Decay shadows to be a little fluffy and messy for my liking.

I wandered around the store for a while with one of their awesome team members and we stumbled upon - what I now know are - the amazing Eyes are the Window Eyeshadow Palletes from Stila. Four gorgeous palettes celebrating Stila's 20 years, all with a different color theme - Mind, Body, Soul, Spirit. At first glance, the palettes satisfied some of the hues that I wanted to play with. I picked up Mind (matte and warm) and Spirit (shimmering and golden, yet varied) and headed to the checkout. I have to tell you though - it is REALLY hard to choose between the four. My Christmas list will definitely include the other two palettes! I mean... The collection needs to be complete.

After working with the shadows a few times,  my feedback is great. They are buildable, yet pigmented; workable, yet easy. The shades that I've tried are all beautiful on the skin - I can't wait to continue to play with all of the colors. Below are two quick looks that I created using only these eyeshadow palettes. Please let me know you thoughts if you've tried these - and let me know if you like the looks! Perfect for holiday parties, date nights, everyday wear - give it a try!
